TALON-FIIRO JOINT VENTURE

The Federal Institute of Industrial Reseach, Oshodi (FIIRO),a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Nigeria and Talon (Nigeria) Limited, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to engage in a Public-Private Partnership venture.

The two parties have come together to collaborate in areas of common interests to involve in bringing cost effective, sustainable and appropriate technology and management know-how to bear upon food, agriculture, fisheries and the environment in Nigeria in particular and the world in general.

The major duty of Talon in this Joint venture is to commercialize the research results of the Institute. The products and services include but are not limited to the following:

• Oilseed processing
• Fish canning
• Fabrication of Extruders, stainless steel products (filter vessel, oil extractors, fermentors, etc.
• Food and feed extrusion modeling

TALON-CMD JOINT VENTURE

The CENTRE FOR MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT (CMD) a Government Parastatal and TALON NIGERIA LIMITED a limited liability company have met severally and agreed to work together in a joint venture capacity. The functions of the joint venture will include the following:

1. Organising of regular workshops in the areas listed below:

• Environmental data base and management workshop
• Environmental impact assessment workshop
• Environmental auditing workshop
• Strategic environmental Assessment workshop

2. Setup of a commercial/demonstration vegetable and fish farm project amongst others.
